AN AQUARIUM BETWEEN SAÔNE AND RHÔNE
Lyon will soon have an aquarium worthy of its status as Capital of Gaul. It will be devoted to marine as well as fresh water, which is the least of things in an area that is at the confluence of the Saône and the Rhône rivers. It is expected to open next June. The project which will include four exhibition spaces on two floor that will be devoted to things aquatic, European rivers, and tropical seas calls for 60 million francs of investment. You will also be able to see fauna from 8 meters above, filled with 500,000 litres of seawater. The sharks, octopus, and eel will be the stars of the aquarium. Moreover, a 200-seat cinema will facilitate the projection of films. Among the programmed animations there will be feedings of the sharks by divers. No need to worry, the divers will not be the meal!
