Milestones of the Company's History
1780
Mack Company was founded by Mr. Paul Mack.
He started to manufacture horse wagons and carriages.
1880
Construction of a vehicle for the transport of organs.
Since then, continuous building up and development of the construction of caravans for fairground and circus performers.
1920
Beginning of construction of amusement rides for fairs.
1921
Construction of the first wooden "Roller Coaster".
1936
Construction of the first "Petrol Ride".
1951
Construction of the first wooden "Bobsled Ride"
1952
Great increase of exportation to the USA
1957
The prototype for the "Wild Mouse" is being developed (at that time also made out of wood)
1975
Opening of "Europa-Park" in Rust/Germany by Mr. Franz Mack as exhibition place for the broad product line of Mack:
From various amusement rides to themed landscape areas for parks, from diverse transport systems to new cultural and artistic attractions.
1976
Construction of the first "Flume Ride"
1998
Test winner! "Europa-Park", as the only park of 15 German amusement parks, obtains the result "excellent" by "Stiftung Warentest" for the perfect service, quality and safety of its Mack rides.
More than 2.5 million visitors of "Europa-Park" enjoy the attractive and family-friendly Coasters of the Mack company.
2000
About 125 employees plan, develop and construct the latest amusement rides for export all over the world. The place of production is still Waldkirch in the Black Forrest.
All Mack rides are "Made in Germany" and comply with the DIN standard 4112 of the German TÜV. MACK stands for reliability, quality and safety in the long term for more than 200 years now!
