PARC AQUARIUM LES NAIADES

The Parc des Naïades at Ottrott (bronze medal for services rendered to tourism in 2002) occupies a two-hectare site.
The former 19th century spinning mill restored since 1990 gives visitors a chance to experience an out-of-the-ordinary adventure on the theme of the WATER CYCLE.

THE AQUARIUM

Have fun learning about aquatic fauna and flora as you go round the aquarium.
The path of the visit enables the visitor to:
- Experience… the extraordinary journey of a drop of water and its encounters on its way from the underground waters through to its return to the sea.
- See… the underground waters, the rapid waters of the torrents, the calm waters of the rivers, the stagnant waters of the lakes, the estuaries, the waters of the seas and oceans.
- Dream… in front of scenery reminiscent of the natural aquatic environments of Asia, Africa, America, Europe, as well as the Coral Reef.
- Plunge into an Adventure… featuring astonishing encounters with piranhas, Sharks, the Crocodiles of the Nile, Turtles, the Beavers of Chile, thousands of fish with strange shapes and colours.

THE FARM
The Educational Farm deals with the life cycle, and is the logical follow-up to the discovery of aquatic fauna.
A living farm, a little piece of countryside that fascinates young and old alike. The public love the direct contact with the animals, mostly dwarf species. The water cycle, the life cycle, the themes at the Parc des Naïades would hardly be complete without the plant kingdom.
So enjoy the park, which offers walks, relaxation, calm.
