Germany‘s only family and theme park by the sea is more than just another leisure park. It‘s got soul.

Why? Because the park tells a story presented in a way that is possible only at HANSA-PARK located directly by the Baltic Sea, on the Bay of Lübeck - a story from the Medieval Ages, a story of trade and seafaring, of freedom and adventure - a story that has become a legend, but is still very much alive: The “HANSEATIC LEAGUE in EUROPE”. Every year, piece by piece, the theme world “symbolises” the park’s name a bit more - and that’s what makes HANSA-PARK so unique in the world.

Of course, there is a lot more to discover at HANSA-PARK: 11 lovingly designed theme worlds, spectacular live shows and over 125 one-of-a-kind attractions, 35 of which are ride attractions, offer several days of fun for the whole family.

The “Torre del Mar”, which sends people flying in a horizontal looping, 30 m in diameter, at a speed of about 70 km/h. The water bobsleigh run “Rio Dorado” is the only one in Germany, as is the “Rendezvous im Loop” which sees two roller coasters meet high in the air. Nowhere else can visitors stroll through such lovingly designed theme areas offering more than 125 attractions and shows that invite everyone to take a ride, join in or simply marvel in wonder – all with a fantastic view of the sea. Water is the most important element at HANSA-PARK. Splashy and roaring boat trips, unique ship models and many maritime exhibits characterise the huge adventure world.

A magnificent panorama invites you on a journey through the world’s countries and myths: from the tepees of the Native Americans through the border town in the Wild West to merry Mexican sceneries. Everywhere visitors can admire the typical buildings and authentic facades of foreign worlds and cultures.

Horticulture is of utmost importance to HANSA-PARK! Wherever you look: flowers, perennial plants, colourful flower beds full of indigenous and exotic blooms – harmoniously embedded in a semi-natural, 46-ha [114 acres] big park area resembling a permanent gardening show - a sea of flowers, colours and music.

Our extensive show programme is outstanding: International top variety performance offer an unforgettable variety theatre experience. A cute sea lion show at the water circus, a splendid laser show at the Plaza del Mar Arena, a funny join-in show with comic figures on the open-air stage, a 4-D cinema experience and live music enchant the guests. The colourful and varied HANSA-PARK parade with up to 60 performers wearing highly imaginative costumes will be the highlight of each day. That’s HANSA-PARK: a very mixed wonder bag that has something in store for the whole family.

Here’s some of what we have in store for you in 2013:
In 2013, HANSA-PARK will reveal the new look of its entrance area. On its left side, the Holstentor will be flanked by a large new section that features the Hanseatic and trading cities of Lübeck, Copenhagen, Bremen, Frankfurt am Main, Goslar and Nuremberg. Though Frankfurt am Main and Nuremberg were no Hanseatic cities, they played an important role given their location along the Hanseatic League’s central trade routes to South Europe that were used to get merchandise from Venice, Genoa, Barcelona and Lisbon to the North. The unique atmosphere of an historical, international Hanseatic city unrivalled in Germany will enchant all our guests the moment they enter the park.
Our 4D cinema will present two new films whose countless effects will make your visit an experience of the special, four-dimensional kind.
In the 4D version of the blockbuster movie “ICE AGE - Dawn of the Dinosaurs” Sid and his friends go through a hair-raising adventure in a pre-historic world inhabited by giant animals.
And in the movie “Pirates” Captain Lucky, played by world star Leslie Nielsen, has to prove that luck never leaves him, not even on his treasure island.
In the winter term we will continue to systematically redesign and theme our Super Splash. This year, we already completed redesigning the slow-down and brake run area - the area after the boats are submerged in water. The natural rock formations in place since last spring already give an idea of how the ride will look like later, when the boats race through an historical shipwreck before they plunge into a lake. The shipwreck is planned for the 2013 season.

The Highlights of the 2013 Season

“Easter Bunny and Easter Flower Festival” from 29th March to 01st April More than 150,000 spring flowers will bloom at the North’s biggest spring flower festival. The Easter Bunny, most likely Germany’s biggest, will welcome all visitors at the entrance already. From Easter Saturday to Easter Monday, all boys and girls who come to the park wearing Easter Bunny costumes are invited to take part in a costume competition. Valuable prizes await the winners.

“Summer Flower Festival” in July and August
Flowers are transient wonders that have always enticed, fascinated and enchanted people, and they make summer the most beautiful and colourful of all seasons. Reason enough for HANSA-PARK to celebrate this event with a summer flower festival: horticulture at its finest invites to stroll through a 46-ha big park area and enjoy the magic of a permanent gardening show. A sea of flowers, colours and music!

“Visit of the Shadow Creatures”
from 20th to 22nd September and 27th to 29th September
When at twilight dark elves, nightmares and revenants crawl out of their hidings, the hour of scare and spookiness has arrived... Come, before they get you...

“Autumn Magic by the Sea” from 5th to 20th October
During the last 16 days of the season, HANSA-PARK will be transformed into a sea of lights: garlands will glitter, the Holstein Tower will be lighted up festively, and thousands of electrical stars will sparkle. Everywhere around you gigantic fairy-tale sculptures will be aglow with light. A fantastic parade of lights will enchant everyone and from the Mexican walls fireworks will take off. Please note that for safety reasons, the parade of lights and the fireworks display will only take place in dry weather.
