ZIERER Karussell- und Fahrzeugbau GmbH was founded in 1930 by Vitus Zierer.
He, a master carpenter, built a trailer for his brother, who traveled around as a showman. The remarkable features of his work were beauty and high quality. His products were the best; competitors usually tried to outdo them. Consequently, it was no wonder that orders soon piled up; concession trailers, portable buildings and other attractions were added. Before long, the first rides were built. His son, Josef, continued with this tradition, as his father would have done and expanded the firm.
Today, it is being managed by the founder's grandson. The past is secondary now. The emphasis is currently on precision manufacturing with departments for fiberglass processing, electric and electronics, a paint shop and, of course, a construction and development department.
