The Zoological Park of Paris is part of the "Musée National d'Histoire Naturelle", the same as are the Parc Zoologique de Clères in Normandy and the Espace Animalier of the Haute-Touche in the Brenne and the Menagerie of the botanical Gardens of Paris. The objectives of these zoological parks: conservation and reproduction of species threatened with extinction, education and scientific research.
