SENSORY EXPLORATIONS
Created in the spring of 2000, Micropolis has already received more than 210.000 visitors. This success has already spurred the designers of the centre to make some innovations for 2002, transforming the visit into a veritable exploration for the senses.
The reception area is designed-with the aid of new visual and sound effects-so that you are immediately immersed in the fascinating world of insects.
An audio-guide is offered for those interested in a more active engagement in the themes presented by the park. Jean-Henri Fabre and his son Paul thus become your companions as you visit the thirteen rooms where you have the chance to take a look at numerous aspects of the life of insects.
Entomologists and other professionals participate in lively conferences on the different insects that can be found at Micropolis.
There are also areas designed for relaxation such as picnic areas and different games for children.
