No borders. That is the keyword of this extraordinary bird sanctuary. There are no borders for over 2.000 birds from the entire planet, no borders for the aviaries that you can enter and no borders for the international scientific research and exchange program. This is a place of escape and leisure where everything has been designed to ensure an exceptional visit, respecting the freedom and calm of all. Visitors are not spectators but actual participants among the birds, learning to observe and respect them. A network of web cams provides a view of the secret life of birds, accentuating this unique feeling of intimacy. The Parc des Oiseaux, in the heart of the France's Dombes region, is the open part of the 380-hectare bird sanctuary created to preserve a unique biotope, the Dombes environment, a primitive array of woods and meadows dotted with pools and ponds, broad hedgerows, croplands all asuuporting a wide diversity of flora and fauna. The park is intended to help you discover this natural wonderland with ponds, streams, reed beds, pebble beaches and trails all supporting an abundance of flowers and plant life and teeming aquatic life that visitors are free to discover at their place.
