GRAND PARC DU PUY DU FOU
FRANCE

HUGE INVESTMENTS HUGE INVESTMENTS

Le Puy du Fou has big ambitions as well as the means to realise them. Currently the 4th ranking theme park in France (around 1 million visitors every summer), its ambition is to move up to 2nd place. In order to achieve this goal, 15.24 million euros of investment are planned between now and 2010. The changes at Le Puy du Fou will take place in 4 phases.
Beginning in 2003 the cinéscénie will be shorter (1h30) but will have new structures, new music, and new shows such as a ballet of 30 horsemen. The Grand Park will have a new falconry, doubling the number of birds to 220 as well as the seats to watch their show (3000).
By 2004 the Renaissance Castle, which serves as the set for the cinéscénie, will have a mechanism that will allow it to collapse every night for a fire scene.
The year 2005 will see the opening of 'the largest equestrian ring'. An eighteenth century style show will take place with some 140 horses for a crowd of 3000.
And finally in 2006, le Puy du Fou will add a lakeside city to relive the experience of the legendary drowned city of Herbauges.
As we eagerly await these new developments, the cinéscénie will be open this year from June 14 to September 14.
