A visit to Hagenbeck: Always an event to remember!
Hamburg hasn't got a zoo - it's got Hagenbeck. An attraction which nobody can emulate in a rush - not even with bagfuls of money! You'd not only need an inspired plan and gifted designers but olso generations of loving care. Over the years, the animals and landscape in Stellingen have grown together to form the kind of uniform tableau which the founder, Carl Hagenbeck, once dreamt of as he planned his "zoo of the future with open enclosures without bars".
