AQUARIO VASCO DA GAMA


This scientific and pedagogic institution opened its doors to the public in 1898, during the 4th Centenary Celebrations of the Discovery of the Sea-route to India by the renowed navigator Vasco da Gama. The Museum owns a large collection of specimens with special emphasis on King D.Carlos I Collection. The Aquarium displays more than 250 fresh and saltwater species from all over the world.
